This is my final evaluation for the tech fair. So one of the skills
that I learnt was coding ,the coding we had to do was easy. Also wiring, I even
improved my skills in following instructions. I learned how to assemble a robot
using a kit. Even though we used a kit, we still needed to do a lot of work,
all the kit had was the equipment.
We did not have that much time, because we had to change it from a
walking robot to a walking dog to a boat that could flout to a walking dog
again to a LED light then finally we decided to do the robotic arm.
This is my final reflection of my tech fair project. So we made a robotic remote controlled arm and when we presented it people seemed to enjoy our project and they thought it was cool so I am hoping that we can make it to the tech fair! We made a PowerPoint and a video which are both on my blog.
It is a Lego car, purely made out of Lego. It has a sensor to indicate what direction it will move to. It is made for children. They think they should go to the tech fair because they are very confident because they built it from scratch and they didn't find a video or picture they built the whole thing from scratch and they designed it on their own.
Alex and Khanda
Projector
it wasnt as good because the point of a projector is to see your small screen in a larger form except you couldnt see what came out of the projector.
Omar and Yahya
Light emotion sensor
It is a small project for switching on the lights when it is dark. It has two parts connected by a wire it works when the sensor detects then turns on. They had used the software arduino and they bought a kit and structured it.
Jonas
It is a walking robot made out of scratch, the legs are kind of wobbly so to improve it he should have made the legs flat. It wasnt good enough forvthe tech fair i think because ofcouse it was incomplete and there wasnt a high chance that he could have finished it.
Nada and Ali
Miku miki dance
It is a software that when you chose your own characters your own and make them dance, they had made a video as an example
Timur
Adam and Karim
They made a sphero which is also called a robot ball and you can install apps. if you get a seal ball you can use it under water. It is just a basic robot and you can control what direction it moves on and its connected from Bluetooth on your phone. It walks and plays games. It was built from another device. I can tell that they have worked very hard because they were struggling since it was broken laast week but then they needed to fix it. It wont break if it has the ball around it. Its very hard to stop it if it is going really hard. Despite their hard work i think they shouldnt be in the tech fair because it didnt actually work and it didnt move.
We have changed this project therefor there is a new blog post with the updated project.
Introduction
After a lot of hard work and decisions to make Lina and I finally decided that we will make a solar puppy. We decided to do this by buying a kit with all of the parts in it, assemble it together and then make the gear box. (Kit shown in photo below)
The next photo photo shows the small parts in the kit.
And we also have to wire the solar panel which is shown in the next photo. We connected minus to plus and plus to minus.
This is the PowerPoint that Lina and I made:
Reflection on my powerpoint:
i think that this powerpoint was pretty good, the first slide with just the title was simple and i guess pretty good. The second powerpoint was great, it wasn't missing anything, it had all the basic and important information. The third slide i remember while making it i wasnt that sure and honestly im still not too sure about it but i think it is write. The last one i also thing is fine.
reflection of the video:
lina and i split up the jobs, I made the powerpoint and lina made the video, i think it was great, every single bit of it was good. The animations were great.
Reflection:
20.2.16
So far we finished making our short video and our powerpoint and we have bought our kit and we hopefully will make the actual product tomorrow and hopefully finish by Tuesday since it does not need that much time to make. I think we are doing fine, we have been a bit behind but we catched up and now we are on track with the class and we have finished our final project and its pretty good and it is ready for tech fair.
Peer reflection:
done by Lina
Overall Ban had done well in her blog she had completed most of the tasks in the past few weeks. Such as the power point, that she had uploaded in her blog some screen shots of the power point, then she added a minimum of two hundred words in her reflection. She had then finished the video which was a duration of two weeks, and had also done a reflection with also the same amount of word count and the same minimum of two hundred words.

I really like Ban’s Flyer because it is a big problem around the world and she wants to help. The flyer is about breast cancer and what she is doing to help is by donating money and she is convincing other people to donate as well. She uses nice slogans and pictures that relate to the topic and mean something. She us talking about being a hero and you have an opportunity to save lives because breast cancer is hard to battle and people can die because of it. I think this is an amazing flyer because of the slogans, purpose, and much more. - Francesca
